Kevin Durant shocked the sporting world and the NBA world, in particular, when he joined the Golden State Warriors in 2016. It seems another Durant shocker might be on the cards as the Warriors try to find a solution to their bad start. Although Stephen Curry is putting up unreal numbers, his injury poses a huge problem for the Dubs. Getting a veteran superstar like KD might seem to be the best way forward for the team.
Luring away Durant from the Brooklyn Nets will be no easy task. According to recent trade rumors, the Warriors will be willing to trade away their future in order to land a superstar veteran like KD. James Wiseman, Jonathan Kuminga, and a couple of draft picks might be traded away in the near future to land Durant.

The dream reunion for Stephen Curry and co might well be on the cards. With a bad start to the season, they might be looking to add a superstar veteran to their team in exchange for James Wiseman, Jonathan Kuminga and some draft picks.
According to a recent report, “The Warriors have been reported to be in the mix for dormant Phoenix Suns forward Jae Crowder, along with plenty of other teams, and whispers of a potential Kevin Durant reunion have hounded Golden State since the summer.”
Jae Crowder, who has a bad relationship with the Phoenix Suns is another name that might intrigue the Warriors fanbase. He asserted that he will not be playing for the Suns unless he joins another team. The Warriors might potentially be his next destination if the reports come true.
Two-time NBA champion Kevin Durant is widely bashed for joining the Golden State Warriors and building a super team. But he achieved what he had joined the Warriors for, to win an NBA title. It now remains a burning question in the NBA community whether KD will once again chose to join Curry and his former Dubs teammates for another shot at the title. However, with the Warriors’ expenditure already well over salary cap, the Dubs front office might find it extremely difficult to pull off a Kevin Durant trade at this point in time.
How have Wiseman and Kuminga performed this season?
James Wiseman and Jonathan Kuminga form part the Warriors’ young core, which has some big names like Jordan Poole and Moses Moody. Kuminga currently averages 7.1 points, 3.0 rebounds and 1.3 assists having started 3 games this season.
