It is one thing to be good. It is another thing to be consistently good. Kevin Durant is a prime example of that. KD has managed to accomplish a rare feat. Something that nobody has pulled off for over 3 decades. He went past NBA legend Michael Jordan who held his name on the list for so many years. However, the two-time champion chose to focus on other things instead.

Today marked Kevin Durant’s 17th consecutive game from the beginning of this season, where he scored 25+ points. He passed Michael Jordan as well, who had done the same for 16 consecutive games to start the season.

Of course, the record holder for this streak is none other than Wilt Chamberlain. Undoubtedly, his shooting sprees led him to score 25+ points for 80 straight games!

Kevin Durant is “content”

Kevin Durant shared a message on Twitter after the game. “Nets win. Manders win. I’m content”.?This implied that the collective effort meant more to him than his personal record. He was also happy that the NFL’s Washington Commanders also won. It is his favorite team in the league.

Earlier this month, Durant spoke about his interest in being a part of the Commanders’ ownership group. With victories for both the Brooklyn Nets and the Commanders, he is one happy man.

KD also recently became the 19th player to reach 26,000 career points. He is in his 15th year in the league, and his accumulation of points is no joke. Durant also scored that many points in their 955th game, just like LeBron James.

Durant brings much-needed stability to the Brooklyn Nets franchise. His contributions are undeniable. Many claimed that when Kyrie Irving was suspended and Ben Simmons was recovering from his left ankle sprain, it was on Durant’s shoulders that the team won. The Nets would need to construct a team to fuel this energy.
