Kevin Durant has played for top teams in the league, and the first one being the Seattle Supersonics. The SuperSonics were changed to the Oklahoma City Thunder in 2008 where KD played till 2016.
KD had mentioned his love for the city of Oklahoma, but one incident changed it all. So, what was the incident which turned his love into hate?

When the Seattle SuperSonics became the Oklahoma City Thunder, Durant and his family relocated to the city. KD immediately felt attached to the city and also donated a million dollars for the city after it went through a tornado.
Kevin Durant took the decision of joining the Golden State Warriors in 2016, a move which the fans disapprove of. Fans of the Oklahoma City Thunder took to harassment and violence in order to show their disappointment at Durant leaving Oklahoma.
Durant once told the Wall Street Journal what he went through. “People coming to my house and spray-painting on the for sale signs around my neighborhood. People making videos in front of my house and burning my jerseys and calling me all types of crazy names.”
One incident out of this made him lose all his love for the city of Oklahoma. According to Kevin Durant, a viral clip of a fan firing bullets on his jersey made him lose his mind.
“I’ll never be attached to that city again because of that. I eventually wanted to come back to that city and be part of that community and organization, but I don’t trust nobody there.” Durant mentions.

Kevin Durant played 9 seasons for the franchise out of which 8 came with the Oklahoma City Thunder. Many consider him to be the greatest player to ever play for the franchise because of his insane stats and he is also one of the three MVP from that franchise.

Durant helped the Oklahoma City Thunder reach the finals of the NBA championship in 2012. They lost that final to the Eastern Conference winners Miami Heat. Kevin Durant averaged 27.5 points,7.0 rebounds, and 3.8 assists in 318 games for the Thunder.

Durant’s stats give an indication of how good a player he was for Oklahoma. The fans certainly crossed the line during his move to Golden State Warriors, which made Durant lose all his love for the city.
