The Phoenix Suns lost out to the Denver Nuggets in Game 5 of the Western Conference Semifinals. Kevin Durant and Devin Booker combined for 54 points, but their efforts went in vain as Denver steamrolled to a 3-2 series lead. Although Durant posted a double-double, he seemed a little off on the night as he struggled with the ball, recording 5 turnovers. After one of those turnovers, KD ducked out from blocking a dunk on the ensuing fastbreak. Former Suns star Charles Barkley shared some words after going through the highlights last night.
Denver and Phoenix have put on a great series so far. From memorable plays to monstrous stat lines to off-court altercations, the series has had it all. As is the norm, analysts and fans have voiced their opinions on any and everything that has happened during the series and that was the case again as Kevin Durant “made a business decision“.

After intercepting a poor pass by KD, Christian Braun rushed to the other end to dunk emphatically. The Slim Reaper had a chance to attempt a block, but he decided otherwise. This might have been due to the fact Durant didn’t want to get put on a poster. NBA legend Charles Barkley certainly took note of this and poked fun at the former MVP during Inside the NBA.
Charles Barkley, on seeing the clip, said, “Kevin Durant made a business decision. He made a business decision. The boy would have dunked on him.”?Barkley thinks Durant didn’t attempt the block to avoid the embarrassment of getting dunked on. The monstrous dunk by Braun was the correct representation of how the game went.
Denver dominated the game from the absolute start. There was a point in the game when the Suns were down by 25 points. The game finally ended with the Nuggets coming out on top, beating the Suns by 16 points. Nikola Jokic was the center of attention again but due to a positive reason.
