With the Golden State Warriors getting back to the Finals again, a lot of questions have been asked of Kevin Durant. Firstly, why he did leave the Golden State Warriors. And then there were questions of him underachieving with the Brooklyn Nets. But Durant seems to take none of that into consideration and he has hit back at the fans.
Durant left Golden State in 2019, after missing the chance to complete the three-peat with them. The Warriors were keen on re-signing Durant and were willing to pay the luxury tax as well. By Durant decided to sign with the Nets with Kyrie Irving joining him as well.

Three years down the line, that move doesn’t seem to have worked out. After missing the first year due to injury, Durant and the Nets lost to the Bucks and the Celtics in the playoffs for the next 2 years.
Kevin Durant didn’t hold back
Several Warriors fans said that they have replaced Durant with Wiggins and their team is as strong as ever. They mocked him for leaving the Warriors and joining the Nets. But Durant was having none of that. He tweeted, “I would say that these people have been hurting for way too long, it?s time for #healing..”

Durant has said in the past he has no regrets about leaving the Warriors and he wanted to build his legacy with the Nets. He even clarified that his fight with Draymond Green was not the reason he left the Warriors. And he shares a good relationship with every one of the squad still.
Wiggins is a great player, and he fits into this Warriors system perfectly. Someone who is an elite defender, athletic, can make threes, and can create his own shot is something exactly what this Warriors system needed. But saying that he replaced Durant might be a bit too much.

When Durant played with the Warriors, that team was unstoppable. It was arguably the greatest collection of talent ever assembled. And the only way they lost was to injuries to star players. If Durant didn’t leave the Warriors, that team could have dominated the league for another few years.
