The Brooklyn Nets are going to finish in the top 10 in the Eastern Conference. The Nets have qualified for Play-In, though the next few games will decide their first opponent. The team has lost their last two games, despite Kevin Durant’s career-high, 55 points in of them. As the postseason nears, the Nets will face one of three guaranteed opponents.

Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving, one of the most talented duos, will look to turn their playoff mode on. The last successful playoff run for Durant was in 2019, but he was injured in the West Semis. Though going into, are there any teams that the Nets should try to dodge?

The Nets might face the Cavs, the Hornets, or the Hawks in the Play-In. Last year, the Nets defeated the Celtics in the first round, taking up to game 5. This year, Durant is fully ready for the postseason.

“Who cares? Whoever we play, we play. I don?t care who we play. I don?t care that we?re in the play-in. Just tip the ball up. See what happens. That?s all you can control. It?s too stressful thinking about or trying to dodge a team. Just play the game,” KD said.

It is pretty accurate as no team should really worry about dodging any other team, especially in the Play-in. Durant’s playoff averages are something else too. Durant averages 29 points, 7 rebounds, and 4 assists in the playoffs. In the 2019 playoffs, Kevin averaged 35 points, 5 rebounds, and 5 assists vs the Clippers in the first round.

How far can Kevin Durant lead the Nets after possible Play-In success?

After the Play-in, the Nets will go against any one of the top 4 current teams in the East. A matchup against the Sixers or the Celtics should be a comfortable matchup for the Nets. Though playing against the defending champs or the Heat, will be a challenge. If Kyrie stays healthy, the duo might even get past the challenging teams.
