Aside from his impeccable skill on the court, Kevin Durant is also a wise businessman off of it. The Brooklyn Nets star has made multiple million-dollar investments that have repaid him duly.

With an alchemy of picking the right business, knowing how to use his money and partnering with the right people, Durant has landed some massive deals in the past. But he is nowhere close to stopping. The 33-year-old is now planning to launch a huge SPAC (Special Purpose Aquisition Company).

Kevin Durant makes another business boom with $200 million deal

Over the years, Kevin Durant has been one of the league’s biggest stars. After leaving OKC, he starred for the Golden State Warriors as well as Brooklyn Nets as a forward, and shone right through. There is no doubt that millions are being made, but he is surely putting his money to the right use.

The 33-YO is also among some of the richest active athletes in the league. And with his latest investment, he has perhaps further staked his claim in this regard. His new venture with businessman Rich Kleiman surely promises a lot.

Earlier, Durant had made the big bucks with a deal in partnership with ticket sellers SeatGeek. But if there’s one thing we’ve come to know about KD over the years, it’s that he never settles. As reported by Joe Pompliano, the 11-time All-star is launching a huge SPAC, along with long-time manager Rich Kleiman. According to the report, the company will be worth $200 million.

Apart from this, the Nets star had already signed a $198 milllion 4-year deal in August this year. So this new move will only add to his whopping net worth.

Why does this deal make all the sense?

The purpose of this deal is to acquire a company in different industries like sports, health, e-commerce, food and crypto. Considering these are all soaring sectors, Durant is likely to land another big agreement.

They already have a jaw-dropping list of portfolio. This includes Coinbase, Robinhood, Dutchie, WHOOP, and others. The million dollar-worth deal comes as icing on the cake for Kevin Durant, who recently landed a deal with NBA Top Shot too. He is making merry off the court, and will hope to replicate his success on it as well. The Nets have started their campaign on a bright note, and will hope to perform as per their ‘favorites’ tag.
