The physical altercation between Draymond Green and Jordan Poole has been making headlines since the incident first took place. Fans, analysts, and even players have chimed in to give their views and opinions on the situation. And the most recent player to join in is Brooklyn Nets star, Kevin Durant.?

Kevin Durant played three seasons alongside Draymond Green, Klay Thompson, and Stephen Curry at the Golden State Warriors. He won two championships with the team as well before leaving to join the Brooklyn Nets.

Durant speaks out on the situation with Draymond Green

A lot of analysts speculated what led to Kevin Durant?s departure. Durant and Green’s relationship had started turning sour during Durant?s time with the Golden State Warriors.?

For fans who are still not caught up to the incident, Draymond Green punched Jordan Poole in the face during the?Warriors training camp. The two got into a verbal argument, went chest-to-chest, and then Poole shoved Green away to get some space. And then Green ended up escalating the situation by throwing a punch at his teammate.

Kevin Durant spoke to ESPN writer Nick Friedell about any similarities between the two situations. He was asked how a player gets through such a situation that involves a teammate.?

Durant said, ?That’s not the same situation. Somebody got punched in the face. It’s no comparison to that. It was just some words that being — I heard people say that that happens a lot in the NBA. I had never seen nothing like that before. But what me and Draymond did a few years back, that s**t happens all the time. So it’s easy to get through something like that, but I don’t know what this situation is like.??

Despite winning two NBA championships together, Green and Durant seemingly always had some friction between them. And as the situation did not seem to get resolved, Durant started growing unhappy with the Warriors.
