The Brooklyn Nets defeated the LA Clippers in a game that could have gone either way in the final seconds. They won the starry battle at 124-120 and proved that their loss against the Wizards was just a stroke of bad luck and that they have clutch potential in them.
Out of the many heroes behind this victory, Kevin Durant must receive the credit for his unparalleled accuracy from the field. The star forward scored points at a phenomenal 84.6% shooting and helped the Nets post a crucial W.

Prior to this game, Kevin Durant was averaging 30.5 points per game. With his 6th point of the night against the Clippers, he touched the 500 points mark in just 17 games for the Nets. With this, he became the only player after Wilt Chamberlain (Philadelphia Warriors) to do so. The legendary Wilt touched that mark in his rookie year itself, setting a record that still stands unbroken.

KD has been very efficient for the Nets this season. He has bettered his three-point shooting multifold as he is now registering an accuracy of more than 44%. He is going to be one of the Top 3 contenders for this year’s MVP award and will certainly win it if he continues the pace.

The Brooklyn Nets stunned Kawhi’s men
It was already obvious that the game would be high-scoring, but what wasn’t obvious was the upgraded defense of the Nets. But the way they turned the game in the final quarter showed that they were making a statement. James Harden’s steal of a Paul George possession kicked off the 4th quarter and then it was total war.
With under 25 seconds remaining, PG scored a three and then a couple of FTs from Kawhi Leonard made the score 119-120 with seven seconds remaining. But it was the triple-double effort of James Harden and Kyrie Irving’s FTs at the end that sealed the victory for the Nets.
