A recent business venture of his made news while also earning him a profit.
Alongside his business partner, Rich Kleiman, Durant, invested in Coinbase, a company that operates a cryptocurrency exchange platform. When Durant had initially invested in Coinbase, it remains valued at $1.6 billion. Reports by Joe Pompliano suggest that the company could go public with a current valuation of a whopping $100 billion.

Brian Armstrong started Coinbase in June 2012. Since Durant’s initial investment, the company has increased in valuation by 61.5x. Durant seems to have hit a jackpot with his investment in the company, bearing fruit and adding to his already astonishing $200 million net worth.
A two-time NBA champion, Durant started his career with the Oklahoma City Thunder in 2007. The NBA named him the ‘Rookie of the Year’ in his first season of the NBA. He was also named the Finals MVP in both his NBA titles winning finals. With the US national men’s basketball team, Durant won three Olympic gold medals.

Durant is a key player for the Brooklyn Nets alongside some other stars on their roster. Moreover, he has an NBA salary that is worth approximately $42 million. Durant has partnered with Rich Kleiman on some other business ventures too. Together, the duo founded Thirty Five Ventures in 2017.
