Kevin Durant’s time with the Oklahoma City Thunder
As we mentioned earlier, KD was the number two overall pick in the draft. Being a high lottery pick comes with its own expectations, and fans expected the same from Durant. However, many were skeptical of the decision by OKC due to KD’s skinny figure.
But guess what? Durant proved everyone wrong and won several individual accolades during his stint with OKC. He was a 4x scoring champ, 1x NBA MVP, 1x All-Star MVP, NBA Rookie of the Year, NBA All-Rookie First Team, 6x All-NBA team player, 7x NBA All-Star as a player of the Oklahoma City Thunder.
While Durant never won a championship with OKC, the team did go to the NBA Finals once, and KD was the leader for the team.

After investing nine seasons of his career with the Thunder, KD couldn’t win the most important trophy for any NBA player – The NBA Championship. In hopes to achieve that dream, Kevin Durant left Oklahoma and joined the Warriors in the offseason.
Following the decision, Durant embraced the villain role for the next three years of his career. However, it was all worth it as he became a 2x NBA Championship as a GSW player. Furthermore, he bagged two NBA Finals MVP trophies as well. Apart from winning on the big stage, Durant had three NBA All-Star selections, one NBA All-Star MVP trophy and 3x All-NBA selections.
