How good was Durant at the Warriors?
Kevin Durant moved to the Golden State Warriors in 2017 in one of the most controversial moves in NBA history. KD had just lost to the Warriors the year before and he left the OKC to go join forces with Stephen Curry and crew. Durant faced severe backlash for this and he is still criticized to this day.
However, the move was a highly successful one as the Warriors were champions in KD’s first year. They were unstoppable with Durant in the lineup and his performances justified the move. The Warriors were able to reach three straight Finals, and they won two chips in a row. They had the chance to win three in a row, but Durant got injured in the Finals.
