After a tough start to the season, the Brooklyn Nets have seemingly gotten a hold of things. Currently in fourth place in the Eastern Conference with a 20-12 record, ?Kevin Durant?and Kyrie Irving’s efforts have finally paid off. But the season is far from over and making any claims would arguably be too soon right now. ?

The Brooklyn Nets just demolished the shorthanded Golden State Warriors. The Nets scored 91 first-half points, setting a new record in the franchise?s history. In the end, the Nets won by a 30-point margin, beating the Warriors 143-113.

Kevin Durant is trying to be the team leader off the court as well

With Christmas only a few days away, the Nets have no games listed on that night. And usually, Christmas night is known for having some of the best and most anticipated matchups of the season.?

Kevin Durant seemingly took the blame on himself saying, ?I probably am responsible for us not playing on Christmas, with what went on this summer. But hey, it is what it is. We play on the 26th, that?s close enough.?

Fans seemed impressed with KD?s mature attitude and went onto social media to appreciate the Slim Reaper for his honest comments. One fan tweeted, ?Wow, KD actually said something where he sounds like a mature adult.??Many fans were pleasantly surprised by KD’s words, commending his honesty and maturity.?

What happened this past summer?

Now, for those who do not know what Durant meant by his comments, it is safe to say the Brooklyn Nets and Kevin Durant were not seeing eye to eye with each other at the time. Due to this,?Durant subsequently requested a trade?from the Nets. However, he soon took that request off the table and decided to play through the differences he had with the team and the coaching staff.?

Given how the Nets started off this season, they are certainly in a much better place right now. Kyrie Irving has seemingly been able to put all of his own off-court drama behind him and Durant has arguably been on his game since the start of the season.
