Karl Anthony Towns of the Minnesota Timberwolves recently made a huge claim regarding the LeBron James and Michael Jordan debate. The debate never seems to end, as everyone has their own views and opinions regarding the issue.
Towns gave his views on the debate while talking to popular Twitch streamer Adin Ross.

Karl Anthony Towns was asked about who he thinks is better, LeBron James or Michael Jordan. Towns had an interesting answer which highlighted the positive qualities of both athletes, but he did seem to have a preference for Jordan.
Towns mentioned, “LeBron is the most talented and gifted player we have ever seen; he is the best player of all time. But the greatest player of all time is Michael Jordan because of the way he changed the game and his clutch factor is unbelievable.”
The host Adin Ross also mentioned how he ranks LeBron over Michael Jordan. He said, “I think LeBron’s better because I think the game is harder. I get the game was more physical back then but it’s harder now.” That is an interesting point because the game has certainly gotten harder because of the tactical and technical developments over the years.

Who is the basketball GOAT?
The James vs Jordan came into life again after the release of Space Jam: A New Legacy starring LeBron James in 2021. The previous version of Space Jam was released in 1996, which starred Michael Jordan.

The one thing which clearly gives Michael Jordan the edge over LeBron is the number of NBA championships. Jordan has 6 while James has 4. James also has a record of 4-6 in the finals while Jordan has an insane 6-0 record in finals. James’ record in the finals is also a reason why people rank Jordan over him.
On the other hand, James certainly ranks higher than Michael Jordan in terms of stats. He has more points, rebounds, assists, and blocks when compared to Michael Jordan. LeBron certainly has a few more years up his sleeves and his numbers are only going to increase.

Michael Jordan has 32,292 career points, 6,672 rebounds, and 5,633 assists. On the other hand, LeBron has 35,969 career points, 9,901 rebounds, and 9,840 assists. Who do you think is the GOAT?
