Alongside the actual All-Star Game, the All-Star Weekend also consists of a three-point competition and a slam dunk contest. The three-point contest was a shock this year, where Karl-Anthony Towns stole the win. However, the list of competitors was packed with amazing three-point shooters such as Trae Young, Fred VanVleet and Zach LaVine. It was a shocking sight to see a Center-Forward win the three-point contest against seasoned three-point shooters.

All the odds were against Karl-Anthony. In a report by Mike Barner, he gave KAT the lowest odds of all. He chose Patty Mills and Fred VanVleet as co-favorites to win the event. However, his odds were proven wrong by KAT’s work ethic and bizarre shooting ability.
KAT was extremely happy after the event. Moreover, he had an ‘I told you so moment’ with Shaquille O’Neal once the event was over. KAT looked at Shaq from the court and proceeded to say “I told you, Shaq! Vegas got the odds wrong.” Shaquille O’Neal can be seen appreciating KAT in the video. Respect between two great players.

He is currently averaging 24.4 points, 9.7 rebounds and 4.0 assists per game. These are exceptional numbers from someone who has been in the league for just 6 years. The Timberwolves are currently number 7 in the Western Conference with a record of 31-28. All thanks to KAT.
The Timberwolves have what it takes to make the playoffs this season. However, the question that whether they will win is completely different. They have a lot of talent in Anthony Edwards, who is young and will soon be the face of their franchise.
