Will Smith slapping Chris Rock has been the most talked-about incident ever since it happened during the Oscars. During the premiere of ‘They Call Me Magic’, Kareem Abdul Jabbar was asked about the slap from Will Smith.
Kareem said, “It just felt that Will’s wife really should have been given some consideration as to how she felt about it and what she wanted to do about it. They just ignored her altogether and I didn’t think that made much sense. She’s the one that would’ve been offended if it was offensive…”

And, Kareem replied, “After the first, I’d say 5 or 10 games that we played I knew better things were happening. And it kept getting better and you know we won the world championship that year. And went on to win 4 more. So it wouldn’t have happened without Earvin, it wouldn’t have happened without the lot of the guys on the team you know. A great combination of guys that worked together hard and we love each other and we sacrificed for each other.”.
