Controversial rapper and former billionaire Kanye West is facing flak from all around the world recently. He came under fire a few weeks ago for his anti-semitic comments and his latest comments regarding Adolf Hitler have only added to his misery. Los Angeles Lakers legend Kareem Abdul-Jabbar recently bashed West for his antics.

Kareem has talked about West in the past. Following his anti-semitic comments, the former NBA champion had a lot to say on his popular blog.

Kareem brought up a sickening fact about West’s social media following which has risen with all the controversy. According to Kareem, the only practical solution to solving the Ye problem is unfollowing him on social media platforms and taking away all the attention.

Kareem Abdul-Jabbar opens up on the Kanye West situation

Kanye West, or Ye as he is officially known has been all over the news this year. He initially made the headlines because of his social media antics following his separation from his wife Kim Kardashian.

West’s social media antics have landed him in trouble more often than not. A few weeks ago, he made some anti-semitic comments that triggered a huge outrage around the world.

Interestingly enough, his comments urged Adidas to cut all ties with him. This is the biggest reason why Ye lost his billionaire status. Former NBA champion Kareem Abdul-Jabbar has a practical solution to deal with West.

On his recent blog, the Los Angeles Lakers legend requested people to unfollow the rapper on his social media handles. This way, West’s controversial comments will not reach a wider audience.

Kareem wrote, “A frightening fact: Following his recent anti-semitic rants, Ye’s social media followers increased to over 30 million people. If you want to do something practical to send a message about your principles, unfollow Ye. Let him scream his madness into the void.”

This is not the first time Kareem has called out West for his comments. He had previously referred to West as someone who is addicted to staying relevant among various other things.
