As the day progressed, reports stated that the Lakers had acquired Rui Hachimura in exchange for Kendrick Nunn and some second-round draft picks. Following this breaking news, Magic Johnson encouraged fans to view this trade as a smart move. He wrote that the youngster’s inclusion would benefit the team on both ends of the court. Further, he added, “He’s averaging 13 points and his length and size will help us on the defensive end!”
Laker nation unsure about Magic Johnson’s take
Laker nation was left divided by Johnson’s opinion. Some fans found comfort in Johnson’s words as they stated that the NBA legend knew the game well.
