As the season is about to start, the trade rumors of Lakers player Russell Westbrook seem to be the hot topic at the moment. Amidst the possibility of the NBA star getting traded, Westbrook seems ready to move out of LA. At least, that is what the listing of his LA mansion is indicating.
Russell Westbrook decides to sell his Brentwood mansion
According to Wall Street Journal Real Estate, the Lakers point guard has reportedly listed his Brentwood mansion for sale at a whopping $30 million, or, to be more accurate, $29.995 million. Westbrook had bought the mansion in May, 2018, when he was playing for the Oklahoma City Thunder.

The news was tweeted by NBA Central on their official account and the Twitterati’s reactions are rather hilarious. Let’s take a look at some of the fan tweets.

Furthermore, the house had cost him $19.75 million back then, and it previously belonged to Australian actor Anthony LaPaglia as per the Los Angeles Times. The mansion has six bedrooms, a kitchen, a gym, a movie theatre, two wet bars, and a wine cellar. Notably, the 13,500 square-foot mansion is just a few streets down from fellow NBA player LeBron James‘ house that costs $23 million.

Nevertheless, Westbrook’s decision to sell his house does not necessarily mean they would move out of LA, since it is not confirmed as to where he would move next. In addition, Westbrook had earlier owned a house in Beverly Hills that cost him $4.635 million. Other than the Beverly Hills mansion, he also owned a house in Oklahoma, but he sold both the houses in 2020.
