As per a recent rumor that surfaced on the internet, Carmelo Anthony could get a call back to the hardwood. The rumor suggested that the Suns’ point guard Chris Paul wants the management to offer a contract to the 10-time All-Star. Notably, Anthony went into free agency after he failed to land a contract post the 2020-21 NBA season. However, a Twitter user clarified the rumor with Landon Buford with a tweet. The user shared the image of the rumor and asked, “Yo Landon did u say this, just checking?”
Buford replied to the user, “We’ll see how things play out.” Even though the journalist didn’t provide any conclusive statement, he didn’t deny Paul’s request to the management.

Anthony played his last season in the NBA for the Los Angeles Lakers. In his 20-season-long career, the 2013 scoring champion averaged a steady 22.5 points in 1,260 games. Moreover, the star’s addition to the team would likely further improve the Suns’ offense.
Fans debate over Carmelo Anthony and LeBron James
Anthony played his last season alongside LeBron James. However, in the current season, James has impressed his fans with consistent high-scoring games, and he recently surpassed Kareem Abdul-Jabbar to become the all-time NBA scoring leader. A fan pleased with ‘King James’ performance took to Twitter and wrote, “So as it turns out, LeBron in year 20 is what Prime Carmelo Anthony was…” However, not everyone was happy with the tweet, as fans swarmed the comments section.
