The now 33-year-old continued, “Reggie got in so many scraps, he got under so many people?s skin. So, I really love those two guys at the two-guard spot.” Thompson finding similarities in himself with Uncle Reg might have some substance to it as both of them have been selected for All-Star reps five times. Besides that, their stats are almost identical, as Miller finished his career with 18.2 points, three rebounds, and three assists, while the Dubs guard is currently averaging 19.7 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 2.3 assists.
Fans debate over Thompson’s Reggie Miller claims
Shortly after Thompson gave his interview, NBA TV shared a part of his speech on Twitter where he compared himself with the Pacers legend. Naturally, this elicited the attention of the fans and as a result, they chimed in to express their opinions. Some users believed that Big Smokey was better than Miller, while others disagreed.

Massively disrespectful for Reggie. Reggie was the best player on a championship level team, but Klay could never be a #1 option on any contending team.
