Jordan Poole was the emerging star in an ageing Warriors squad during their Championship run last year. Expectations were high for the 6’4 guard who was unable to replicate the form that he showed last season. This left many fans questioning, with many calling for his trade. Although understandable, a trade seemed harsh with Poole coming off his best regular season in the NBA so far.
Recognizing his importance, Warrior’s vice-president Mike Dunleavy addressed the media easing the doubts on Poole’s future. Speaking to the press he stated “Jordan, especially with his contract extension, we plan to have him here for four more years, at least.” These comments must have Jordan Poole breathing a sigh of relief as the speculation had been ramping after their second-round exit.
