Charles Barkley and Michael Jordan once were the best of friends. They shared a great relationship off the court and were golfing buddies for quite some time.
However, Barkley once criticized Jordan’s ownership of the Charlotte Hornets. This turned their relationship sour and former NFL star Marcellus Wiley discussed how it all went down for the two.
He said, “Anybody know why Michael Jordan and Charles Barkley don’t talk anymore? Well, it is reportedly because Charles Barkley, doing his job, criticized his friend Michael Jordan on how he was being an owner for the Charlotte Hornets.”
Wiley then added, “You would think your friend will understand that and respect that but obviously they didn’t. Had a little back and forth, got on a phone one time and I think Jordan cursed him out and that was it.”
Wiley’s statements come days after Charles Barkley made a huge admission about Jordan. The Phoenix Suns legend definitely wants to mend his relationship with His Airness as revealed by the Round Mound of Rebound himself.
Barkley is only one call away
Whether or not Michael Jordan wants to mend his relationship with Chuck is still a mystery. However, there is no doubt that Sir Charles would be happy to get back in touch with his friend.

During a recent conversation with Jon Wertheim of CBS, Barkley asserted that he is ready for a telephonic conversation with MJ. Moreover, he said, “I got a ego too, Jon. You can’t be great at something, like, y–that doesn’t give you the right to be a jerk.”
Isiah Thomas of the Detroit Pistons happens to be another NBA legend who is ready to talk it out with Michael Jordan. However, the Chicago Bulls legend remains nonchalant about his old rivalries.
