Maxey stepped on the foot of Bucks guard Jevon Carter and reportedly broke his foot. Maxey scored 24 points, five assists, and four rebounds before getting injured moments before halftime. He was spotted leaving the building in a walking boot. Thus, Joel Embiid is likely to face the pressure of added scoring responsibilities after Maxey’s absence for the next 3-4 weeks.

The 22-year-old’s injury comes as a big blow to Philadelphia as he had got a career-best start to his third season. Meanwhile, James Harden also got injured after playing only nine games this season. He is suffering from a tendon strain in his right foot and is expected to be sidelined for a month.
