About a month ago, the NBA world witnessed Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James react in utter disbelief as the Boston Celtics took the victory home. What many claimed would have been a winning shot resulted in the loss of the Lakers due to certain decisions the referees took. However, according to a recent tweet by Jayson Tatum, it seems like the tables have finally turned as he recently got a taste of his own medicine, drawing immediate reactions from fans.
On January 28, the Los Angeles Lakers went up against one of the top contending teams, the Boston Celtics. King James had put up an impressive 41 points against Jayson Tatum’s Celtics. With less than five seconds remaining on the clock, LeBron went for a layup shot interrupted by Tatum, thus driving the game into overtime. As per the game video, the Celtics superstar had clearly fouled James by hitting his arm, but the call was never made by the refs.

The Boston Celtics recently faced the New York Knicks at the latter’s home court, Madison Square Garden. Jayson Tatum received a technical foul in the third quarter and picked up his second tech in the fourth after Tatum expressed his disagreement with a ref. The 4x NBA All-Star felt that the refs should have called out a foul when the Knicks’ Julius Randle smacked Tatum’s hand during a shot attempt. However, no such call was made.

The 24-year-old Celtics superstar scored 14 points, seven rebounds, and nine assists before he was ejected from the court. After previously winning three straight games, the Celtics fell short to the Knicks, who claimed their sixth consecutive victory by 109-94.
Tatum then took to Twitter to reshare a clip of the failed shot attempt that was seemingly disrupted by Randle. However, it was the caption that grabbed Twitterati’s interest. In his tweet, Tatum recalled the no-call incident and wrote, ‘Lol this what I get for fouling Bron’.
Fans react to Tatum ‘admitting’ the LeBron James foul
Interestingly, when the internet was neck deep in speculations regarding the refs’ no-call decision, Tatum had stated that the last two minutes of the fourth quarter and the OT was a blur to him. He claimed that he had no idea what had happened and would need to watch the tape. Therefore, when he seemingly admitted to fouling LeBron in the month-old game, fans did not hold back from expressing their opinions.
