Jayson Tatum put on a show as he helped the Boston Celtics comfortably win against the Toronto Raptors. In this game, the Celtics were severely shorthanded due to numerous injury troubles, but Tatum graciously led the team.
Tatum finished the game with 40 points, just one point shy off of his career high. Along with his scoring outburst, JT grabbed 6 rebounds and dished out 2 assists as well. Although Tatum couldn’t get past his career high, tonight’s performance gave him a place in Celtics’ history books. He has now become the only player in franchise history to have three 40 points game before turning 23-years-old.

The Boston Celtics are tied for the most NBA Championships for a franchise in league history. They have 17 championship banners hanging in the rafters, same as their long-time rivals LA Lakers. However, it’s been more than a decade since the Celtics have won a title.
The last time the team lifted the Larry O’Brien trophy was back in 2008 during their Big 3 era. Since then, they have gone through a little rebuilding phase and have found a new talented core pretty soon. Their current roster is led by Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown, who have developed into phenomenal players over the last few seasons.
