Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown are one of the best duos in the NBA. The Boston Celtics shocked the Miami Heat by winning game-6 with just 0.2 seconds left on the clock. Coming back from a 3-0 deficit in the Eastern Conference Finals, the Celtics have now tied the series 3-3. If the Green win game-7, they would become the first-ever team to win a playoff series after going down 3-0. After the win, a Hall of Famer’s post on social media triggered fans to draw parallels between the Celtics duo with a legendary duo.

Even though many players have contributed massively to the team, Tatum and Brown are at the forefront of the comeback. The duo scored a combined 57 points to help the team in game-6. However, the win would not have been possible without Derrick White who joined Michael Jordan with his game-winner.

Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown are a great duo. But how do they compare with some of the legendary pairs in the league? The league has seen some great duos over the years who not only won games but entertained fans with their chemistry. While some legendary pairs won titles, some could not. On the other hand, some were not together enough for a shot at the title. One such “what if” duo was Vince Carter and Tracy McGrady.

The cousins played together for the Toronto Raptors and mesmerized the fans with their unreal athleticism which was in full swing during the 1999-00 Slam Dunk Contest. While T-Mac joined the league straight from high school in 1997, Carter played college basketball for three years before joining the NBA in 1998. Understandably, Vince was more ready for the league with his college experience and hit the ground running. On the other hand, McGrady needed some time to adjust.

Even though they only played together for three years, they are still considered a great duo because of their chemistry. McGrady then moved to the Orlando Magic and became one of the best players in the league. We can only imagine what the two could have achieved had they stayed together.

Interestingly, Jaylen has been training with McGrady to improve his offensive moves. Even though most fans compared Tatum with T-Mac, some fans commented they see some of McGrady’s moves in Brown.
