After an exemplary regular season, the NBA is finally heading close to the playoffs. With the play-in tournament taking off, the Brooklyn Nets secured their place in the postseason. They defeated the Cleveland Cavaliers in a nail-biting affair to become the 7th seed. Unsurprisingly, Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving showed and put on a show for the fans. On one of his buckets, the Slim Reaper drew one of the craziest reactions from music sensation, Jay-Z. This left NBA fans on Twitter going crazy.

In the regular season, the Nets had to go through many problems. With James Harden going away, the Nets were left with a hole to fill. While there were hopes with Ben Simmons, the All-Star guard was recently ruled out for the entire season. However, their one constant star has been Kevin Durant. The Slim Reaper is one of the leading scorers in the league averaging 29 points per game. Likewise, he was on full display against the Cavaliers.

On one of his baskets, Jay-Z was left shocked which got fans to go wild on Twitter.

Kevin Durant shocks Jay-Z

Heading into a tough matchup, the Nets came out on top against the Cleveland Cavaliers. While Durant is one of the finest scorers, he put up one of the most ridiculous shots. Going on the run, Durant shot the ball right off the catch making the three-pointer. Likewise, Jay-Z couldn’t believe his eyes as he made a face. And NBA fans took to Twitter to react to Jay-Z’s iconic reaction.

While Jay-Z sure had a great reaction, Durant and Kyrie made many fans go through those emotions. The duo combined for yet another 50+ point game to send the Nets into the playoffs.

Kyrie Irving led the way as he scored a game-high 34 points to go with 12 assists as well. Durant joined the party as he tallied 25 points, 5 rebounds, and 11 assists on the night. Bruce Brown and Andre Drummond were huge factors in the win as they combined for 34 points. The Nets will now face off against one of the hottest teams in the NBA, the Boston Celtics in a playoff rematch from last season.

Darius Garland was not of his All-Star level performance going up against the Nets. he matched KAI’s tally and scored 34 points and had 5 assists and 2 steals. Big man rookie Evan Mobley had an efficient night with 19 points and 7 rebounds to his name. Kevin Love continued his case for Sixth Man of the Yera with a resounding 14 point and 13 rebounds performance off the bench. However, it wasn’t enough as they lost the game 108-115.
