After his last season with the Dallas Mavericks in 2000, Rodman found himself, according to his own words, “Doing a whole lot of nothing.”?The Worm appeared on the famous Tonight Show hosted by Jay Leno later that year.?
In the show, Rodman made a shocking revelation about his net worth. He then confessed to all the things that plummeted his net worth over the years. Moreover, he admitted to getting visited by the cops over 70 times, having wild parties, eccentric guests, quirky relationships with neighbors, and more. After heeding Rodman’s imprudent decisions, Leno decided to teach him a critical life lesson. Leno reached out and brought up a plant, which he gave Rodman to teach him responsibility.

Leno hilariously dubbed it the start of a 12-Step program. But Rodman had an unusual reservation regarding the ordeal. He asked Leno what happens if someone happen to urinate on the plant. Appalled by the question, Leno explained to him how he had to take care of the plant. He told Rodman, “This is your job, this is your child, this is Dennis Jr. Your job is to keep this thing alive.” Leno?also warned Rodman that he would keep an eye on him from the RodmanTV website.?
