Jamie Foxx, a well-known comedian, and actor, shared how emotionally charged he can get when it comes to sports during his appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live back in 2017. He mentioned that he often cries at sporting events, especially when LeBron James is playing. His appearance on the show was primarily used to promote his movie “Baby Driver“, but ended with his iconic world-class impressions.

He noted that an advertisement featuring Stephen Curry hurt his relationship with LeBron James. We all know how much he loves the Dallas Mavericks, his favorite team. Despite that, he shared which team he would pick if they had to play against each other, which is LeBron vs Mavericks. He also recalled his reaction to James’ visit to his hometown of Cleveland.

Foxx claims that Stephen Curry hampered his relationship with LeBron James

Foxx shared how emotional he can be by crying when LeBron came out on top to win a chip. Chiefly, he shared an example of the time when he was emotional. One of the stories he mentioned was how he cries on the plane while traveling.

After that, Kimmel asked Foxx if he ever cried during a sporting event. “I cried last year when LeBron won the championship,” Foxx jokingly remarked that he cried out of joy and briefly danced around the set of ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live’

During Foxx’s discussion about how close James and Foxx are, he mentioned that even James is unaware of their relationship. Then he mentioned that he and Stephen Curry did a commercial together that ultimately led to LeBron possibly having some reservations about him. According to Foxx, the heat just wasn’t there anymore between both men.

In doing so, he mentioned a movie they made in relation to this, stating, “We even made a movie about it. We did a movie called “All-Star Weekend”, where one guy loves Stephen Curry, other guy loves LeBron James, all they’re trying to do is get to the All-Star game, we shot it.”

In response to a question about mentioning his favorite team vs James, he said he would always choose James. He respects his career and the sacrifices he made on his journey.
