Complete mayhem broke out in the NBA recently with the trade deadline and LeBron James’ historic night. However, the madness is far from over. The NBA community barely recovered and wrapped its head around the chaos when, in this process, fans realized that the All-Star weekend was right around the corner. This realization dawned upon them after the league announced that Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant would sit out.
Adam Silver, the NBA Commissioner, confirmed that Curry, Durant, and Zion Williamson would miss the weekend due to injuries. The four-time NBA champion suffered from a left superior tib, while Durant is dealing with an MCL sprain to his right knee. On the other hand, Williamson has strained his right hamstring. Silver named three players who would replace these NBA stars.
According to the report, Anthony Edwards, De’Aaron Fox, and Pascal Siakam were announced as “injury replacements”. All-Star reserves Joel Embiid, Lauri Markkanen, and Ja Morant are set to the role of starters. Following this announcement, fans pointed out that the league snubbed James Harden once again.
