Top NBA analyst Stephen A. Smith has lashed out at Kyrie Irving and the Brooklyn Nets. After the recent saga involving a potential trade for Kyrie, Smith has defended teammate James Harden. ‘The Beard’, who is keenly looking forward to the upcoming season, may well be without premier guard for the Nets. And according to the analyst, Kyrie’s ‘nonsense’ needs to stop.

The Brooklyn Nets were all set to romp to a successful campaign soon. With a fit trio of superstars in Durant, Irving and Harden, the team never looked stronger. However, due to some personal decisions made by Irving, the franchise took a late call that they wish to trade the 29-year-old. This would leave the team fending for themselves, if they cannot find a replacement soon. Kyrie has not made things easier for them, and things are beginning to get very ugly. Meanwhile, Stephen A. Smith is having none of it.

Mainstay Kyrie Irving has had some phenomenal outings with the Nets after making the switch from Boston. Even in the current saga, he has reportedly considered retirement if Steve Nash and co. opt to show him the doors. On the other hand, Smith feels that for a player like James Harden, the current situation must be extremely frustrating. Considering he is someone who likes to get down to business, the events that are unfolding have possibly left him fuming.

In a recent Instagram post, Smith released his own quotes, which had him stating, “Don’t think for one second that James Harden likes the nonsense that’s going on in Brooklyn. James Harden deserves better!” The furious statement were made in a recent interview. He captioned the post, “James Harden deserves better than the nonsense Kyrie Irving is putting this franchise through!” Do you agree?
