Ever since James Harden traded out from Brooklyn Nets to join the Philadelphia 76ers, tensions have grown between former teammates. James Harden recently admitted to the fact that he particularly pushed for a move away from the Houston Rockets at the start of last season. He was essentially forcing his way out to join the Philadelphia 76ers. This could not happen and he had to settle for a move that would see him team up with Kevin Durant at Brooklyn Nets.
Now the saga came to an end when finally Harden got what he wanted as he joined Joel Embiid at 76ers before the February trade deadline.
The start of his time at Brooklyn was more than ideal. In fact, it was record-breaking.

James Harden in a subtle tussle with Kevin Durant
James left Nets the same way he left Rockets, on his own terms. It took time for Durant to publicly speak his mind about Harden’s decision. He did not pick former teammate Harden during the All-Star draft picks. Instead, he picked Rudy Gobert over him.
It was clear that he was unhappy with how things took place and there was a certain rift between two former teammates.

James Harden recently tweeted a subtle but obvious dig at KD. It might not be directly at KD. However, it was certainly a reaction to everything that had happened between Nets and Harden, which in turn involves KD in the front seat. He hinted at the partnership with Embiid and how good it is.

Harden’s way of dealing with things
Harden showed apathy on the court. He was clearly drifting away from the rest of the team off the court as well. KD was always against trading Harden, but this attitude from Harden left him with no choice. He had to sign off on the deal with Brooklyn GM Sean Marks. He obviously felt betrayed by Harden. KD also could not come around the fact that James and he did not see the project in the same light. Beard wanted out because he believed a partnership with Embiid would be what he needs in his career.
It was not the first time Harden had shown this behavior. His time at Houston ended in a similar fashion, where he made sure he gets traded out. Everybody knows superstars get special treatment. They have substantial say in the league, but it’s completely unfair to completely blow off teams and teammates like this.

Nobody is to say if they agree with the antics of Harden or not. They are just opinions of how one sees the situation of a trade of a player between two teams. We still look forward to the playoffs with the same eagerness and excitement.
