After a disappointing exit in this year’s playoffs, the Philadelphia 76ers are already trying to improve their squad. Despite having Joel Embiid and James Harden, the Sixers got bounced out of the second round of the playoffs. With their star assistant also on the verge of leaving, the Sixers are trying to see which star they can get to pair with Harden and Embiid.
Sam Cassell, the assistant coach of the Sixers, is reportedly being interviewed by the Utah Jazz. Danny Ainge, the current CEO of the Utah Jazz, first hired Cassell at the Boston Celtics. And he was part of the 2008 championship team. The Jazz is in need of a new head coach after Quin Snyder stepped down at the end of the season.

Tobias Harris is the fourth-highest scorer for the Sixers but his form since Harden has come in has been concerning. With Tyrese Maxey emerging as a star, the need for Harris is substantially reduced. Harris is an excellent scorer and rebounder and many teams would be in the market for him.

As for Thybulle, he is a lockdown perimeter defender and a spot-up three-point shooter. Every team in the league is arguably in need of a 3-and-D guy. Forkmaz and Green are also key rotation pieces, as they would attract interest. And the number 23 pick will surely come into some use.
It will be very interesting to see who the Sixers bring in next to Harden and Embiid. With the front office willing to part with key players and a draft pick, the Sixers might be able to get a superstar also.
