Jalen Brunson plays for Dallas Mavericks and is in his 3rd season. Although his averages per game have been underwhelming he has used his time on the court to contribute to the team. His assists and rebounds per game, movements, and his defensive output prove that he is a team player.
Brunson’s father Rick Burson also played in the NBA. He played for 9 years and in 8 different franchises. Although he never started many games, he played a lot of matches off the bench. His son is now proving his worth in the NBA. Jalen recently dropped career-high 41 points in the 2nd game of the first round against the Utah Jazz which won Mavs the game and tied the series 1-1.

The story was a hilarious one. Rick Brunson’s Bulls clashed against Michael Jordan’s Wizards in MJ’s last season. Jalen at the time did not know who Jordan was. However, his father Rick obviously did which is why Jalen had a Wizards jersey on him despite them being an opponent of his father on the day.
Rick made his son meet MJ after the game and seeing MJ’s Wizards jersey, he offered to sign it. A six-year-old Jalen innocently replied that he did not want it signed because it would “mess it up”.
