It’s a usual sight for the hoops community to witness celebrities from various fields show up courtside. Moreover, the Boston Celtics have been one of the best teams this season with a dominating record. Subsequently, American rapper Jack Harlow and a star actor rooted for Jayson Tatum and the Celtics on a historic night on Friday. 

The multi-time Grammy award-nominated artist Harlow has attended several Celtics games in the past. Moreover, he even disclosed his admiration for the 4x NBA All-Star Tatum in 2022. He said, “This was actually our first time meeting (Jayson Tatum), which means a lot to me.” However, the Friday night game against the Utah Jazz turned out extra special for Tatum fans because of a historic feat. 

Jayson Tatum had Boston spellbound

Jayson Tatum dropped a game-winning 39 points to dominate the Jazz for a comfortable 122-114 win. Along with Tatum, the team’s defense applied their best to hold the Jazz to 114 points. Apart from this domination, the Celtics star created an NBA record in the presence of celebrities like Harlow and Casey Affleck. Tatum emerged as the first player to drop consecutive 39 points without committing a single turnover.

Following the game, Harlow and Tatum shared a moment on the court side, leaving the fans guessing.

Harlow proved that he was an ardent Celtics fan during a byte last year. He said, “Yeah, I grew up a Celtics fan… When I was young, when KG (Kevin Garnett) got traded, that’s when I made my decision, but I’ve been a Celtics fan my whole life.” However, the rapper’s visit to the Friday night game turned out to be memorable because of Tatum’s brilliance. Harlow grew from an unknown Celtics fan to a lucky charm for the side. 

What’s on the cards for the Celtics? 

The Boston Celtics are currently the 2nd seed in the Eastern Conference behind the Milwaukee Bucks with a 54-24 record. The Boston side has already sealed their spot in the playoffs and will look to repeat their 2022 magic. Even though the team failed to cross the line in the Finals, they put up a strong fight against the Golden State Warriors. They have 4 games left in the regular season and the team would look to end the season on a strong note.
