The LA Lakers labored to live up to expectations that were placed on them in the offseason. Both he and the team are to fault. The Knicks never offered him sufficient aid, and he had flaws and bad judgments of his own that he couldn’t surmount. The Knicks eventually let their star walk in a salary-dump trade to the Oklahoma City Thunder, where he played only for one season.

Since then, Carmelo Anthony has become more of a journeyman than a certified superstar. Since leaving Oklahoma City, the former scoring champion has suited for 3 different teams. Anthony, however, may take this long journey back to New York.
