Rodman said: “I think you actually sell yourself. Back then, you are actually selling your soul. I think a lot of athletes back then, they understand the value of being a famous athlete. Today it is so difficult because everyone wants to be a star, everyone wants to be on TV, everyone wants to do something famous. But for me, I’ve been famous all my life, never had the money. We all have been famous all our lives. We have a purpose. It’s just difficult for me to talk about it because it is so heartfelt for me to talk about anything. I just love people.”
