The Los Angeles Lakers bagged a win against the Milwaukee Bucks earlier today. The Lakers were dominated from the get-go. Their on-court performance was filled with team effort, and plays that made the Bucks’ defense arguably look weak. A sublime victory like this has been long overdue for Lakers fans. However, LeBron James has given fans another reason to rejoice and remember this game.

The scoreboard at the end of the game read 133-129 in favor of the Lakers. While all online feeds carried this news, fans were quick to bring up the highly impressive stat lines. Anthony Davis dropped 44 points, 28 points for LeBron James, and 15 points for Russell Westbrook – the big three stars had finally stepped up together.
All in all, the Los Angeles Lakers were dominant. In the words of Giannis Antetokounmpo, “They [Lakers] were living in the paint.” Hence, this was a big momentum push for the Lakers. With that said, on an individual level, this game was huge for LeBron James.
A humbling moment for LeBron James
Along, with his 28 points, LeBron James registered 11 assists. With this, he now has a total of 10,144 assists in his NBA career. This means the four-time NBA champion has gone past Lakers legend Magic Johnson on the list of most assists of all-time. For James, this was a momentous landmark.
During the post-game interview on the court, LeBron James spoke about this feat. He said, “It’s very humbling.” James also acknowledged that Magic Johnson has been synonymous with the Lakers franchise. So for him, it is a moment of honor as he aims to carry on Magic’s legacy. This interview was interrupted by Lakers head coach Darvin Ham who jumped up on LeBron and yelled, “They can’t stop the King, they can’t stop the King.”?

To ESPN, the four-time NBA champion spoke about Magic Johnson’s approach to the game. James mentioned that Johnson loved playing with his teammates which helped him bring the team together on the court. He also admired Johnson’s excitement when his teammates did well.

Magic Johnson commented about LeBron James’ performance on Twitter. He stated that James was simply unbelievable while listing out the stat line. Additionally, the five-time NBA champion was thrilled to see the Lakers win against the Milwaukee Bucks. The Bucks are now 15-6 for the season while the Lakers improve their record to 9-12.
For LeBron James, this performance and feat have come at possibly just the right time. While the Lakers have struggled, James’ time this season has been rocky. Injuries and loud voices of criticism have dominated his season so far. However, this has not seemed to deter his focus as he continues to do his best on the court.
