The losses are piling up for the Los Angeles Lakers. With the start of the season, the Lakers are 0-4. And that is not the start you would want if you have LeBron James on the team. In fact, the Lakers have two other star players as well. Anthony Davis, despite dealing with injuries, has been pouring it in this season. However, the same cannot be said for the Lakers’ point guard Russell Westbrook.

Everybody has been blaming Russell Westbrook for the Lakers? downfall. Though Westbrook may be part of the problem, he is not the main and only downside the Lakers have. It seems as if the Lakers just have not been able to make threes this season.
Pinpointing the blame on Russell Westbrook
Even Lakers legend Magic Johnson and superstar LeBron James both acknowledged the Lakers? shooting struggles. Despite Westbrook?s poor performance at the start of the season, the Lakers’ inability to make threes is probably the main downfall.

Recently, former Lakers player Kwame Brown had some views on how Russell Westbrook handles the media. He said that Russell Westbrook comes off as ?Pompous and arrogant.? That may hold some truth as Westbrook has had a history of snapping at reporters.
But now, Brown has had another unique take on the Lakers squad. Kwame Brown mentioned how ?Father Time? is catching up to LeBron James. At 37 years of age, LeBron has yet to show any significant decline in his game.
Though he did not have a good game against the Denver Nuggets in the last outing, however, he already has posted two 30-point games so far. Although, Brown said, ?I think it?s unfair to Russell Westbrook, with some of the commentary.??
?You cannot just blame Russ for every single thing that goes on around with the Lakers. The Lakers suck. The Lakers don?t play team ball and it shows,? Brown added.

There might be some truth to what Brown said about all the blame being pinpointed at Russell Westbrook. Though Westbrook may be part of the problem, he is not the main area of concern. It is the Lakers’ inability to make long-range shots.
The twilight years of LeBron James
LeBron will turn 38 this year. But as far as his game goes, it has been aging pretty well. Bron can still run the floor, get up to block shots, and also jam down dunks now and then. There will come a time when ?Father Time? will eventually catch up to James.?
