As the trade deadline comes closer, many teams in the league are looking to make changes to their roster in order to make a deep run to the playoffs. While some teams are looking to trade away their assets in order to start rebuilding, others are looking to add more firepower to compete for a playoff spot. The New York Knicks are one team looking to make some serious changes to their roster. But one thing the Knicks reportedly want to get right is to find the best landing spot for their veteran point guard, Derrick Rose.?

Derrick Rose was the youngest player to win the NBA MVP award at the age of 22. Rose was one of the most explosive point guards with a plethora of moves and a bunch of talent right from the get-go.

Once a promising player to carry on the Bulls’ legacy, Derrick Rose?s career was cut short due to constant injuries. Rose spent his first seven years in the league with the Chicago Bulls before being traded to the New York Knicks.

And now that the Knicks are looking to shake up their roster, the team?s front office is looking to move on the veteran point guard. However, they want to make sure that Rose gets to go on a team that has an “ideal situation”.

Derrick Rose was an icon for the city of Chicago. A Chicago native, picked first overall by the Bulls in the 2008 NBA draft, Rose?s story seemed to be heading in the most ideal direction in relation to his legacy in his hometown. He won his first and only MVP award three years later, however, things just went downhill after that.

Now, even though Rose does not have the same explosiveness he once possessed, his veteran presence in the locker room will undoubtedly be a big help to young guards. Not only that, fans would love to see their hometown MVP don a Bulls jersey once again.
