NBA and Golden State Warriors star Steph Curry recently commented on his chances of winning the NBA’s Most Valuable Player Award. The interviewers asked Curry to describe his chances of winning the coveted individual award. Curry’s answer was an honest assessment of what it requires to be NBA’s Most Valuable Player.
The crew of the show ‘Inside the NBA’, which includes the likes of Shaquille O’Neal and Charles Barkley, interviewed Steph Curry. When quizzed by O’Neal about his NBA MVP winner chances, Curry had a candid reply to the questions posed. He described the qualities of a potential NBA MVP while adding that he was always hopeful of winning the award.
Curry said, “I mean, I don’t know how ya’ll described it when ya’ll were playing. But if you’re doing what you’re supposed to do, that’s hopefully the end result, that you’re in that conversation. You know effective winning, leading the team on the court, off the court. You know, just trying to find ways to elevate your game.”

He continued, saying, “So I mean, that is always a part of the mission. It is not so much as the vision and the MVP trophy every time you set foot on the floor. But it’s the expectation of how you are supposed to play every night that is MVP-type caliber expectation. So I always have that and hope that answers your question, so yes, but nothing changes from you know the past years.”
Steph Curry started his career a decade ago with the Golden State Warriors as the seventh overall pick in the 2009 NBA Draft. Since then, he has won two NBA MVP awards in 2015 and 2016, and three NBA championships with the Warriors.
