NBA superstar Damian Lillard erupted for career-high 71 points in the 114-131 win against the Houston Rockets. Lillard was unstoppable, and the Rockets had no answer whatsoever to stop the sharpshooter. The seven-time NBA All-Star was very efficient from the field and free throws. He made 13 of 22 attempts beyond the arc and 14 of 14 free throws. Understandably, the 2013 Rookie of the Year was elated after the massive performance. However, it was soon brought down.

After the historic performance, Lillard was drug tested, and the point guard was not very impressed about it. He was then asked about it during the press conference, and he let his feelings known.

According to a report from ESPN, Damian Lillard was drug tested after the game. When he was asked about it, he stated that he was urine tested before the game, and then his blood was drawn after the game. The 32-year-old noted that this was the first time he was drug tested after a game. Lillard added that his fear of needles made the experience worse. He said, “I mean honestly I was like, ‘Y’all serious?’ Like, I did the urine test yesterday and then they backed it up with the blood draw tonight after the game. It was actually the first time in my career being tested after a game. And then aside from that, they know that I’m scared of needles. I know I?ve got a lot of tattoos, but when you?re doing a blood draw, it?s different from tattoos.”

The Portland Trail Blazers superstar was clearly not happy with the whole ordeal. However, he is not alone. He has now joined a list of NBA stars who have opened up about the “random” drug tests.
