LeBron James has made himself into a brand, and even at 37, his motor still seems fresh. So when one of the biggest basketball players pulled up at the Drew League, everyone went crazy. After an 11-year gap, James took the court and put on a show at the local gym. Likewise, his NBA peers were all in awe of his performance.

Back in 2011, there was a clash between the players and owners. Failing to reach any middle ground, the NBA went into lockdown till December. With all the time on their hands, players didn’t want to lose their rhythm. Hence, the Drew League became a famous hub for NBA professionals to keep their pace alive. That was also the last time LeBron James ever played at the Pro-Am tournament. That is, until a few days ago when the Akron Hammer gave the city of LA the biggest surprise.

Checking into the Drew League after 11 years, the entire basketball world was alive. Even players felt the hype of the King’s emphatic return.

LeBron James impresses everyone

After his 11-year absence from the Drew League, a show was surely due. Likewise, the Los Angeles Lakers star put up a masterful performance for the ages. He went off scoring 42 points and grabbing 16 rebounds in an all-out back-and-forth game. His team won by a narrow margin of two points in what was a legendary return. And even his peers approved of it.

Players such as Trae Young and Magic Johnson took to Twitter after seeing LeBron’s explosion. Draymond Green wanted a much closer experience and showed up at the game.

However, LeBron wasn’t the only NBA star. He teamed up with Chicago Bulls DeMar DeRozan. The two top professionals went berserk with DeRozan adding 30 points and 14 boards as well. But there was supposed to be a third. Apparently, Lakers target Kyrie Irving was also supposed to lace up his sneakers. Unfortunately, he turned out to be a no-show.
