Lately, the Los Angeles Lakers are going through an injury crisis. After the Lakers star Anthony Davis picked up an injury last Friday, other stars like LeBron James and Russell Westbrook have also suffered injuries. As a result of this, they all missed out on last night’s game against the Phoenix Suns. The California side is now heavily undermanned which might further concern their fans amidst an underwhelming showing throughout the season so far. Lately, NBA insider Brian Windhorst added more fuel to the fire by adding some updates regarding the injury of Anthony Davis.

Following the injury of 29-year-old star, the Lakers were unable to provide any concrete information regarding his return. However, Windhorst’s recent updates might concern fans a little.

Latest injury update about Anthony Davis

After picking up the injury, several reports claimed that Davis would be out for a month due to a sprain. However, NBA insider Brian Windhorst shed some light into the matter and said that ‘the month’ could turn into an ‘indefinite extensive period’.

In ‘The Hoop Collective’ podcast, Windhorst said regarding AD, “He’s not gonna be out a game or two, he’s gonna be out an extended period. Hopefully, it’s an injury he can get some treatment on and get it healed.”

Moreover, the NBA insider added, “It’s not good, it’s not a sprained ankle, it’s not a sprained foot. From what I understand, it’s something more concerning than that.”

Hence, Windhorst’s statements gave a new perspective on AD’s injury. Davis is currently one of the key players for the Lakers who was having the form of his life. The eight-time All-Star is currently averaging around 27.4 points, 12.1 rebounds, and 2.6 assists. However, it seems like the LA side would have do without him for some time.
