As the regular season is coming to an end, the Golden State Warriors are channelizing the fortitude that won them four championships in the last eight seasons. Last night, the reigning NBA champions outplayed the San Antonio Spurs with the Splash Brothers topping the list of scorers. The Warriors added a new feather to their cap after the game against the Spurs. Adding to the optimistic sentiment of the fans, Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson rendered some emotional thoughts on their new achievement.
Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson form one of the most popular duos in the NBA. At the heart of the Splash Brothers’ popularity is their impressive three-pointer scoring record. Last night, the Warriors guard Jordan Poole joined the star duo to achieve a rare three-pointer milestone.

Living up to their standards, both Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson have made more than 200 three-pointers this season. After winning against the Spurs, Jordan Poole too surpassed the 200 three-pointers mark. Following Jordan Poole’s achievement, the Golden State dynasty became the second team in NBA history to house three players recording at least 200 three-pointers in the same season. The feat was earlier achieved by the Houston Rockets in the 2016-17 season.

The Splash Brothers could not contain their emotions and they thanked and lauded the young Warriors star, Jordan Poole. “It’s not easy to make 200 threes in a season. So credit to Jordan. He worked his tail off every day, same with Steph and its just really cool that we have two other guys I get to play with who shoot it you know so well. It makes my job so much easier,” said Klay Thompson in the post-game interview.

It’s special and obviously JP coming to his own as a great shooter.” Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson, two of the greatest shooters ever, were full of gratitude towards the younger Jordan Poole for working his way up to accomplish the sublime record.

With each passing game, the Warriors are enticing their fans with iconic displays. Having won five out of the last six games, the San Francisco side seems to have warded off their inconsistency and switched into playoff mode. Given the reputation and stature of the reigning champions, fans are dying to see the team showing their class in the playoffs and marching to glory once again.
The Warriors, however, are currently the sixth seed in the Western Conference. They will have to cling to their championship-winning fortitude to have a promising post-season campaign. Moreover, when the Houston Rockets first accomplished the stunning three-pointer record in 2016-17, they failed to win the ring. Steph Curry and co. won it that season.
