“It’s Gone”: Shaquille O’Neal, Who Pays Ex-wife Shaunie $100,000 Every Month, Exposes Himself Yet Again

NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal‘s failed marriage with Shaunie Nelson has been talked about in the media on numerous occasions. Shaq has spoken about his divorce extensively with the utmost honesty on multiple occasions. According to the four-time NBA champion, he is the sole reason why the marriage never really worked out. Years after his divorce, Shaquille O’Neal, who had to live in a huge mansion all by himself, once again talked about how it was his fault. 

As this made him feel estranged and remorseful, the Los Angeles Lakers icon took the blame for putting himself through that situation.

Shaquille O’Neal talks about his regrets following his divorce

In a recent interview on E! News, Shaq said, “You don’t know how good you got something till it’s gone. I mentioned about having a 76,000-square-foot house and nobody in there. That was all my fault.”

In the same interview, he talked about how he did not do the right thing and ended up paying for it. The former Lakers center pays around $100,000 per month in child support for his kids, according to sources.

Los Angeles Lakers legend Shaquille O’Neal has been linked to many models and celebrities both during his time in the NBA and after retirement. However, Shaunie Nelson remains the only woman he has been married to.

The two tied the knot in 2002, but they had recurring problems in their marriage. Shaunie filed for a divorce in 2009 and it was finalized in 2011. Shaq’s cheating habits were one of the major reasons behind their failed marriage, as acknowledged by the four-time NBA champion himself.

Shaq and Shaunie have moved on 

Since his divorce, O’Neal has dated some big names from Hollywood like Laticia Rolle and Nicole ‘Hoopz’ Alexander. On the other hand, Shaunie recently got married to pastor Keion Henderson earlier this year in a private ceremony. Interestingly enough, it seems Shaunie and Shaq are on good terms currently, as Shaunie even invited O’Neal to her wedding.
