The Golden State Warriors and its fans are having a gala time. Who would have thought that the team who couldn’t even make it to the playoffs last season, and won’t have Klay Thompson returning immediately either, will start the season with a 10-1 record and a six-game winning streak? But it looks like better days are yet to come as Klay Thompson hints fans about his imminent return.
Klay Thompson has played a single game since 2019 when the Warriors lost to the Toronto Raptors in the NBA Finals. He has been battling injuries and rehab since, but it looks like the wait for his comeback might be getting over sooner than expected.

During the offseason, it was made clear that Klay was definitely returning for the 2021-22 NBA campaign. However, the prediction was that it won’t be before January at least. But with consistent glimpses of Thompson working his way onto the floor and teasing fans, a recent update had fans more excited than ever.
The Golden State Warriors might be welcoming the missing Splash Brother back on the roster before Christmas Day. As amazing as that sounds, nothing can be set in stone until it actually happens.
But now that Klay has also posted a message for his fans that indicates it might be true, the rest of the Western Conference should not be on the lookout for them, even more than they already have. The shooting guard posted a picture of himself on the court with a caption, “Hey DubNation, it’s coming. Just stay patient with me. These black uni’s go hard btw.”

The Warriors have had an unexpectedly brilliant start to the new season. While most fans hoped that they at least keep their head above the water until Klay returns, they have done far better than that. Not only are they at the top of the Western Conference, but have the best record in the league right now.
Of course, Stephen Curry has led the way for the most part. However, it’s Jordan Poole, who really deserves credit for stepping up in Klay’s position. And if and when Klay returns, this trio could be more dangerous than any in the NBA. Provided, Klay is remotely as brilliant as he was before he was benched for two seasons.
The Warriors will ease Klay’s return into games. They wouldn’t want to risk more damage than he already had to endure. Do you think the Warriors might be getting ready to dominant, like the good old days?
