Hoop fans know that Charles Barkley is not one to pull his punches. The Round Mound of Rebound calls it like he sees it and he has been like this for ages. Now in his 60s, Chuck is enjoying his time as a grandfather. He says that Little Henry, his grandson, is the greatest thing to ever happen to him. However, that doesn’t stop Sir Charles from taking shots at his own daughter publically. He has done it many times in the past and he did it again recently.
The NBA’s beloved always keeps it a hundred with whatever he is talking about. Even when it comes to his own self or his family, Chuck speaks with an open mind. Recently, he talked about being disheartened by something his daughter said at a very young age.

Chuck has been married since 1989 to Maureen Blumhardt and they have a daughter together. Their daughter Christiana Barkley recently became a mother and that has filled Sir Charles’ life with joy.
In February this year, Chuck made an appearance on ESPN for an interview. There he talked about his daughter and his grandkid, during which he made a bizarre confession about his daughter that even confused the host Bob Myers for some time. Chuck said “My daughter is like 6 feet tall. She’s been 6 feet tall since she was like 2.” Although this was just a joke, it could only be Chuck to make such statements. He was talking about wanting to get his daughter to play professional basketball.
However, Christina refused very early and said that she didn’t wish to get into sports.

Charles Barkley had to accept the stinging reality
As a world-class athlete, Chuck wanted to turn his daughter into an athlete as well. However, Christina had the realization very early in her life that she doesn’t want to make a career in sports. “It was traumatic for me,” Barkley said about his daughter not liking basketball. After trying several sports in order to find her interest, Chuck asked her if she likes sports. “Dad, I don’t like sports,” she replied.
