As the years go by, we have seen former NBA big man John Salley keep defending his former colleague. Either in a GOAT debate or in reminiscing about Jordan’s popularity.

In a recent interview, he shared his experience of seeing the Chicago Bulls star’s fan following whenever they go out for drinks. Despite playing with Jordan for only one season, Salley was a valuable member of the Bulls. Apart from this team, he was regarded as a crucial member of the Detroit Pistons.
Over the course of his time with the Pistons, 1986-92, he played and gave a number of successful games. His friendship with Jordan has grown over the years as they spent more time together in the NBA.?
John Salley spoke about the popularity of Michael Jordan
According to Salley, he shared a lot of stories about his time in the NBA during the new episode of Pierre’s Panic Room. Besides that, he also talked about a lot of Jordan-related subjects. In between all of this, he also discussed the popularity he saw in Jordan.
Having hung out with Elvis Presley and Michael Jackson, Jordan’s ex-teammate felt overwhelmed. The owner of the club was surprised to see a Bulls legend in his place, according to him. ?The owner of the place come and go is that Michael in my club! Turn the lights on. So everybody can see Michael was in this club.?
Later on, he mentioned that he agreed with Jay-Z and Kanye West when they mentioned in a song, “I’m liable to go, Michael, take your pick Jackson, Tyson, Jordan, Game 6“

He went on to explain how people connect his name to a person who has excelled in a particular occupation. He said further, “so imagine you don’t get to meet anybody I thought it was the worst time”. It hasn’t been the first time Salley has talked about his friend, as there have been times when he has placed him at the top of the debate over who is the greatest basketball player ever.
